Apart from a very noisy American family, it was very quiet. The room overlooked the Seine and the pool, and the veranda windows could be opened quite wide. The restaurant had lovely views and the food was good. There was a good choice for breakfast, which was in the restaurant, so lovely views again in the morning. The hotel had very dark decoration, which was quite peaceful but made it a bit gloomy. The hotel information pack was in French and English which was nice, and was quite informative and amusing.
The dark decoration, which made it quite gloomy. It needed a bit of redecoration to spruce it up a bit.
A really comfortable, modern and well decorated room with a great bathroom
Breakfast was very expensive and should have been included in the price of the room. We did not have breakfast.
Incredible hotel, beautiful view, lovely pool and fabulous dinner! Couldn't ask for a better place.
The service and food in the restaurant were excellent and the hotel had spectacular views over the Seine.
The hotel was in need of renovation and repair from paintwork to carpet cleaning to a very overgrown garden. The hotel definitely had seen better days. The cable television link in our room was broken and one of the computers with internet access didn't work but no-one seemed concerned to do anything about maintenance. The hotel promised tickets for Monet's garden but had run out. It was a shame that the standard of the restaurant was not reflected elsewhere as with its spectacular views the hotel has great potential..
The view and the food in the restaurant were both very good.
The doors made a great deal of noise. I was disturbed by other rooms coming and going.
The view over the Seine was superb.
The hotel's photos show a muted modern decor. However, our room was more like a nightclub - clashing purple carpet, vomit-green walls, black bedding, with yet more different colours in the bathroom. The shower was broken. Decorations throughout the hotel were shabby. The lift did not stop correctly at the floors, so suitcases had to be hauled up or down a step. The hotel was extremely expensive for the quality offered. We were unable to use the restaurant as it was fully booked for a noisy party.
the view was amazing. The staff were helpful. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful
The decoration made the rooms very dark. There were no tablecloths on the tables at breakfast. The hotel was not as close to Giverney as advertised.
I didnt like the decor bedrooms far too dark !! needs revamping resturant was far too exspensive for what it was & servicewas very poor waited far too long dinner took 3hours & coffee was ice cold not even warm, was shocked by this
The restaurant is world class with a wonderful view of the river and beyond. Very private and exclusive. Excellent staff.
We liked the hotel and the surroundings very much. Would stay again.Beautiful, romantic hotel with magnific wiev. Food in the restaurant was good besides the degustation meny. We (4 persons) ate 2 evenings and liked the food and the atmosphere. We bought the tickets to Giverny from the hotel and it was very convenient, no queues. I recommend to go to Giverny in the morning when it opens, you will avoid the crowd.
We lived in room nr 4 and the wall/floor of the shower cabin was leaking and it caused humidity and bad smell to the toilet and the room. We had degustation meny in the restaurant. Not good. The portions was much too big and they didn´t serve their best from the meny. For example they served (dry) tuna and chicken. Soup was so bad that you couldn´t eat it. We had lobster, salmon and beaf the day before and it was really good.
Country site, silence and quiet.
Rooms rather dark and small
The peacefulness of the location and the food. Staff were very helpful.
We were recommended to Domaine De La Corniche but found it to be geared more towards business people than tourists. The room was small and lacked storage space for clothes and cases, which is why we considerd it was more a business hotel where people would not need the extra facilities. The location was very picturesque but not much in the way of local sightseeing to be had. We had to travel to find areas of interest.
good value for the price! small rooms but comfy and has all u need for a short stay. beautiful views over the river from most rooms. nice shower rooms. the beds r very comfy.
we styaed only for one night so did not mind the small rooms but if it was a longer stay the rooms are a bit too cramped. the restaurant is nice with beautiful views but too pricey so did not eat there.
